Challenge

According to a recent study, 60% of men don’t go to the doctor regularly. They just don’t.

Men aren’t raised to go, are scared to, and can’t be bothered to go to the doctor. BayCare, the best health system in Tampa, wants to change this. And we used the Super Bowl to do it. The Super Bowl is where commercials get the most attention. So we want to get the people who love a man in their lives who won’t go to the doctor, to use this attention to make him go.

Details

This campaign extended beyond the Super Bowl as the videos were pushed out through the various social media channels to raise even more awareness. Viewers and users were encouraged to visit the BayCare Men’s Health landing page which presented even more outstanding men’s health facts, resources, and means to find a doctor.

Each video ad was a plea from a daughter, son, mother, spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend, or best friend of a man who doesn’t have a doctor to get one. Each of the 8 videos was a personal message, straight to one viewer, for all of the rest of us to see.

The Surprise

And the best part is that we filmed the reactions from these men as they watch the Super Bowl and saw their loved ones on the screen asking them to get a regular doctor. The reaction videos were extremely heartwarming and eye-opening for the people involved.
