The Biggest CORNtroversy In The Beverage Industry

There is a debate brewing about corn syrup! Bud Light ran several ads that called out competitors’ usage of corn syrup in brews during Super Bowl LIII. However, when opportunity presented itself, one brave soul decided to jump on it.

Miller’s jumped on the opportunity to clarify that corn syrup is only used in the brewing process and that it’s not in the drink, thus enlightening the world about the difference between corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup.

Miller’s went on to thank Bud Light for sharing this #fact with such a large national audience, not just once, but twice, at no cost.

Miller’s closed it off by apologizing for the #corntroversy caused and made sure to clarify that their drink actually is better tasting, with fewer calories and half the carbs.

Bud Light, however, did not go down without a fight, as they made sure to clarify that they love corn too, but not in their beer brewing process.

They also went on to say that they’re not stingy with their money, and that they instead brew with rice, along with the finest hops, barley, and water.

It seems that Bud Light wasn’t too happy with Miller’s ungratefulness, so they told them that they will no longer put in the work to deliver Miller’s their corn syrup that got lost in the mail.
